Artist's Comments
This is an ACEO (Art Cards, Editions and Originals) made from polymer clay.
I used some cardboard from a pizza box to cut out ATC-sized cards, then covered the front with polymer clay (white with a little bit of yellow). I took some artist stamps to impress the clay, and antiqued it after baking with burnt siena acrylic paint. I now think that covering cardboard was not the best idea, because the card bent a little bit. I think I will try just using clay next time. On this card, I used a thinner sheet of clay to cover the card, which is also not the best idea, it looks a bit paler compared to the other two. Reserved. EDIT: I redid the acrylic paint so it is a bit more intense, I like it better that way. |
