Artist's Comments

This is an ACEO (Art Cards, Editions and Originals) made from polymer clay.

I used some cardboard from a pizza box to cut out ATC-sized cards, then covered the front with polymer clay (white with a little bit of yellow). I took some artist stamps to impress the clay, and antiqued it after baking with burnt siena acrylic paint.

I now think that covering cardboard was not the best idea, because the card bent a little bit. I think I will try just using clay next time.

On this card, I used a thinner sheet of clay to cover the card, which is also not the best idea, it looks a bit paler compared to the other two.

EDIT: I redid the acrylic paint so it is a bit more intense, I like it better that way.

Interesting designs. I've seen the term ACEO, but what is the purpose of the cards?=)

Thank you :-) ACEO means Art Cards, Editions and Originals. It is some sort of ATC (Artist Trading Card) which will not get traded, but sold :-) I have to improve the design a bit, though :-)

I will update the description.

Oh yes! I have seen something like this, someone filling a clay mold, and it looked great! Wish I could remember where I have seen it!
